Job Summary/Purposes
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting activities of the Hong Kong Macau markets, including month-end closing, reporting, audit, tax, planning and daily operational matters. In addition, the incumbent acts as the Local Focal Point for the Taiwan market under the outsourced finance operating model, ensuring effective coordination between the local market, Regional Finance and the outsourced accounting provider. The role is expected to safeguard accounting accuracy, compliance discipline, documentation quality and timely execution across both scopes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support month-end closing activities for Hong Kong and Macau, including general ledger review, closing schedules, internal reporting and external reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors and compile statutory financial statements in accordance with HKIFRS, local accounting standards and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Support and review lease management system data, ensuring completeness, accuracy and proper alignment with finance, real estate and accounting requirements.
  • Prepare schedules and work closely with tax representatives and advisors on tax returns, tax computations and related supporting documentation.
  • Support and resolve critical daily operational issues for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities, including payment matters, invoice issues, reconciliations and follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and prepare budget and forecast inputs for Hong Kong and Macau, including expense assumptions, variance analysis, cost simulations and recommendations on corrective measures.
  • Streamline processes and provide remediation plans for internal control gaps, recurring exceptions and operational inefficiencies.
  • Arrange and support stock take activities and participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Act as Local Focal Point for the Taiwan market under the outsourced finance operating model, coordinating local finance matters with Regional Finance and the outsourced accounting provider.
  • Translate Regional Finance instructions into Taiwan market actions, confirming owners, deadlines, required evidence and timely local follow-up.
  • Maintain and monitor the Taiwan approval matrix, signatory limits and delegation-of-authority records, ensuring that transactions submitted to the outsourced provider carry the correct approvals before processing.
  • Validate Taiwan market submissions before hand-off to Regional Finance or the outsourced provider, including sales reconciliations, payment requests, master-data requests, accruals, closing inputs and local supporting documents.
  • Coordinate Taiwan month-end cut-off, bank and cash items, balance-sheet explanations, cash-flow inputs and local expense assumptions for budget and forecast cycles.
  • Coordinate Taiwan audit, tax and compliance requests from auditors, tax advisors, statutory authorities, Regional Finance and the outsourced provider, ensuring responses are complete, timely and supported by adequate evidence packs.
  • Monitor outsourcing service KPIs, turnaround times, error rates, open issues and remediation actions for Taiwan; participate in governance meetings with Regional Finance and the outsourced provider when required.
  • Track exceptions raised by the outsourced provider or Regional Finance, resolve local blockers and escalate delays, policy gaps or recurring issues in a timely manner.
  • Communicate process updates to Taiwan local stakeholders, support adoption of new ways of working and maintain local process discipline during the transition to the outsourced operating model.
  • Any other ad-hoc activities as assigned.
