JOB PURPOSE
The Events Specialist is responsible for supporting a diverse range of in-store events, including animations, trunk shows, parties, cultural and social events, and dinners. This role operates within the Retail function and reports directly to the Events Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Curate high-impact retail events that align with set revenue targets and drive direct sales in local and regional stores.
- Ensure seamless execution of seasonal 360° launches, connecting retail, merchandising, and marketing to maximise impact.
- Integrate elevated exclusive and bespoke offerings into event strategies.
- Manage all aspects connected to the planning and execution of in-store events, collaborating with all involved company functions to interpret creative briefs.
- Support the realisation of events by researching talent, onboarding new suppliers, scouting locations, defining timings, set-ups, and budgets.
- Support the Retail Sales team in effectively rolling out events, assisting with operations and clienteling.
- Supervise service activities such as catering, security, logistics, and models.
- Encourage proactive innovation by identifying new event formats and adapting to evolving client expectations while maintaining brand consistency, in line with business needs.
- Guarantee excellence in event execution and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure a consistent information flow across functions, streamlining communication processes.
- Manage dedicated budget, planning, timing, and costs.
- Manage administrative responsibilities within the events department, such as c-sphere orchestrator, SAP, live events calendar, event proposals, and guidelines.
- Find new suppliers for event implementation, conducting negotiations within budget.
- Research and report on competitors’ activities in the areas of responsibility.
- Collate and analyse subsidiaries’ business needs and best practices.
- Produce qualitative and quantitative reporting on all events.
- Support large-scale activations across Retail and Communications where applicable.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Similar experience in an events role, preferably within the luxury or fashion industry, demonstrating proven experience across the key responsibilities outlined.
Strong relational and organisational skills.
A genuine interest and aptitude for fashion and luxury products.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
