Delivery Lead - SAP (Retail & Fashion)

JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a seasoned SAP Delivery Lead to join our Technology team and oversee the delivery of SAP solutions across our global transformation program within the Retail and Fashion industry.
The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of SAP migration project in a post-merger context, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with business goals across Finance, Master Data, Sales & Distribution, and Indirect Procurement modules.
The candidate will work in a multi-brand and international post-merger environment, where the SAP Delivery Lead will play a pivotal role in our global integration strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program & Project Delivery: Lead the delivery lifecycle for SAP initiatives across Finance, SD and MM domains.
Coordinate end-to-end execution, from planning to cutover, ensuring adherence to timeline, quality, and budget.
Serve as the primary point of contact for SAP delivery, engaging with business stakeholders, IT, system integrators, and external vendors.
Ensure delivery aligns with enterprise architecture standards and strategic transformation priorities. - Team & Vendor Coordination: Manage SAP consultants, external partners, and offshore resources, ensuring effective collaboration and accountability.
Oversee solution design, fit-gap analysis, functional specifications, testing strategy, and go-live planning.
Ensure timely identification and resolution of delivery issues and risks. - Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Business Process Owners, PMOs, and other domain leads to align delivery with operational needs.
Translate delivery progress into clear updates for senior stakeholders.
Support change management and business readiness activities. - Quality & Continuous Improvement: Ensure strong documentation, traceability, and compliance with internal controls
Drive continuous improvement of SAP delivery frameworks, tools, and templates.
Support hypercare and stabilization post go-live, ensuring user adoption and solution effectiveness.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Master’s degree in information systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
8+ years of experience delivering SAP programs or rollouts, preferably in global Retail or Fashion environments.
Proven experience in key SAP modules including:
- Finance: FI (Account Payable, Account Receivables, General Ledger, Asset Accounting)
- Controlling: CO (Cost Centers, Orders, Profitability Analysis)
- Sales & Distribution: SD
- Materials Management: MM
- Master Data: BP (Business Partner)
Strong background in S/4HANA implementations, including integrations with legacy and third-party systems.
Deep understanding of SAP delivery lifecycle, including blueprint, build, test, deployment, and hypercare.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor-delivered projects.
Hands-on capability in issue resolution and understanding of technical and functional interdependencies.
Solid understanding of retail and fashion business processes, including pricing, logistics, master data governance, finance operations, and store workflows.
Experience supporting multi-country rollouts and localization requirements.
Strong communication and coordination skills in global and matrixed environments.
Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken
