Internal Auditor

JOB PURPOSE
The role is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing Group-level internal audit activities, ensuring the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control processes. The position also contributes to ad-hoc strategic and cross-functional projects as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Management in the development and continuous update of the annual Audit Plan, based on risk assessment priorities;
- Design and define detailed audit programs for assigned areas, ensuring alignment with internal methodologies and professional standards;
- Independently execute audit engagements across administrative, accounting, operational, and compliance processes, including but not limited to Italian Law 262/2005, Legislative Decree 231/2001, General Data Protection Regulation, Legislative Decree 81/2008, and Anti-Money Laundering regulations;
- Leverage advanced tools and methodologies, including Data Analytics, Process Mining, and AI-based solutions, to enhance audit effectiveness and insight generation;
- Prepare high-quality audit reports in line with internal standards, ensuring proper documentation, evidence collection, and classification of working papers;
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of agreed corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Support the preparation of periodic reporting to corporate governance bodies, including the Board of Directors, Board of Statutory Auditors, Control and Risk Committee, and the Supervisory Body pursuant to Legislative Decree 231;
- Contribute to enterprise-wide Risk Assessment activities, in alignment with leading frameworks such as Enterprise Risk Management and COSO Framework.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Master’s degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Law, or a related field;
7–8 years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk, or Compliance roles within structured and multinational organizations;
Previous experience in a Big Four firm (PwC, EY, KPMG, Deloitte) is considered a strong plus;
International exposure and/or Certified Internal Auditor qualification are considered advantageous;
Strong expertise in Data Analytics, Process Mining, and emerging Artificial Intelligence applications in audit;
Fluent English, both written and spoken
