Retail Merchandising Manager

This role aims to strengthen Miu Miu Shoes buying and retail merchandising capabilities in the China market, working in close partnership with local and global Retail Merchandising teams and in full alignment with Miu Miu’s strategic direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

BUYING PROCESS​

• Participate in the master selection process at HQ.
• Review the buying budget for the China market; manage range breadth, depth and the merchandising mix to ensure alignment with the brand’s fashion direction while optimizing commercial performance.
• Analyze, discuss and provide comments by market with HQ Merchandising & Planning in case of budget deviations.
• Consolidate local market orders and present them to HQ Merchandising.

IN-SEASON PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT​

• Analyze sales performance and oversee stock management across the China market to ensure timely and effective replenishment.
• Monitor sell-through and consolidate market reorder requests as needed.
• Maintain frequent communication with local merchandising teams and HQ on sales and sell-through performance to ensure achievement of targets and objectives.
• Manage in-season stock transfers within the China market to maximize sell-through.
• Conduct regular store visits to provide on-site feedback and drive commercial performance.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE​

• Liaise with HQ on the development of seasonal product training materials to be rolled out across the market.
• Ensure effective product training and workshops are delivered locally to store sales teams.
• Support and coordinate local training initiatives, including physical participation where required.

VISUAL MERCHANDISING​

• Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to review visual execution from both brand image and commercial perspectives.
• Develop new or market-specific VM guidelines in coordination with HQ Merchandising and VM.
• Together with the regional VM team, review store photography to ensure consistent application of guidelines and protection of brand image.
