We are looking for a CAD manager, to be part of Prada Fine Jewelry Collections Development Department, who will be responsible for execution of highest quality fine jewelry 3D designs, as well as ensuring the functional and aesthetic objectives. You will work closely with the Creation and Design department, the product development department, and the technical teams (jewelers and setters).






  • In a short timeframe with full autonomy, ability to create highest quality complex 3D models which are presentable to luxury clients in a client experience context.
  • Translate design concept into a physical piece within established project timeframe.
  • Is able to retranscribe stones shine and reflection properties, inclusions and metal properties to reach best rendering quality to show the beauty of products and stones.
  • Provide feedback on technical hurdles at initial design assessment, participate in brainstorming sessions during review meetings and provide suggestions on most relevant production and assembly techniques for a specific project.
  • Provide input on timelines to completion and escalade issues if needed (planning, bill of materials modifications…)
  • Is able to create stone settings and mechanisms with no supervision and with good knowledge of production techniques.
  • Help to find best compromises to meet aesthetic, functionality and ergonomic needs.
  • Monitor and analyze gaps between prototype and 3D design, and do reverse engineering if needed.



  • Provide recommendations on building techniques based on initial brief or idea.
  • Collaborate using a continuous improvement approach by generating suggestions to nourish the creative and design teams.



  • Build and lead the CAD designers team in line with business strategy
  • Provide guidance to fellow team members.





Minimum 7-10 years of CAD experience specific to jewelry.

Knowledge of complex high jewelry construction including stone settings as well as precious metal properties.

An experience in a jewelry workshop as a jeweler or as a setter at the bench, or in a Luxury Jewelry Brand would be highly appreciated.

Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and is a team player.

Management skills.

Eye for curiosity and innovation.

Fluent in Italian and English. French is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret design rendering and engineering documents.
