Job Summary/Purpose
As the Corporate HRBP & Labor Relations Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner to the corporate functions (Finance, Marketing, Retail Operations, IT, etc.), driving the execution of people strategies and organizational growth. You will collaborate closely with business leaders to provide comprehensive HR solutions—including talent acquisition, talent management, organizational development, and employee (labor) relations—playing a critical role in supporting the success of the Prada Group in the Japanese market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Partnership:
    Develop a deep understanding of the business needs within each corporate department and execute HR strategies to achieve organizational goals. Provide advisory to Department Heads on organizational design and workforce planning.

  • Support Talent Acquisition:
    Manage recruitment needs for corporate functions and secure top talent through appropriate channels. Lead the optimization of selection processes and enhance the brand experience for candidates.

  • Talent Management & Organizational Development:
    Implement performance management, career development, and succession planning. Design and initiate programs to increase employee engagement and foster the Prada corporate culture.

  • Labor Relations & Compliance:
    Manage labor-related issues in accordance with Japanese labor laws to maintain a healthy work environment. Ensure the update of work rules and strict adherence to compliance standards.

  • HR Project Leadership:
    Lead the localization and implementation of global or regional HR projects (e.g., policy changes, system implementations) within the Japan office.

    Required Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of HR experience (with at least 3+ years in an HRBP or HR Management role) specifically strong in labor relations.
    • Experience within the luxury, fashion, or retail sectors in a multinational environment is highly preferred.
  • Languages:
    • Japanese: Native level.
    • English: Business level (Capable of leading meetings, reporting, and creating documentation for global/regional headquarters).
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Deep knowledge of Japanese labor laws and regulations.
    • High proficiency in HRIS (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attributes:
    • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and strong problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
 

Preferred Skills

  • Change Management: Proven track record of leading organizational changes or cultural transformations.
  • Data Analytics: Experience in analyzing HR data to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Coaching: Experience in coaching or mentoring leadership teams.
  • Labor Relations Solving: Proven track record in dealing and solving labor relations issues in align with local regulations + requirements from HQ.
