Footwear 3D Modeler - Prada Linea Rossa

JOB PURPOSE

The 3D Modeler plays a key role in creating Prada Linea Rossa footwear collections by transforming creative concepts into high-quality digital models. The position supports rapid prototyping, visualization and production workflows, collaborating closely with design teams to enhance accuracy and speed. It involves exploring forms, textures and details in 3D to elevate design quality. The role also provides guidance for 3D printing to ensure alignment with design intent.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Interpret detailed sketches, design specifications, and technical notes from the design team, considering materials, colors, finishes and sizing.
• Contribute creatively through 3D exploration, generating visualizations and conceptual models that assist the design process.
• Develop accurate 3D models of shoes using the most suitable software, ensuring alignment with the designer’s vision and expectations.
• Collaborate with external suppliers, mold makers and prototyping partners to review prototypes, make adjustments and refine models.
• Work closely with design, product development, industrialization and production teams to ensure models align with creative vision and manufacturing requirements.
• Support internal teams and external vendors during prototyping and production by providing guidance, modifications and ensuring models meet quality standards and technical specifications.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Degree in Product Design (a specialization in Footwear design will be considered a plus)

3-5 years of experience in Footwear design and 3D modeling (preferably within the sports/performance segment);

Proficiency in 3D modeling software for creating accurate, high-quality digital models (e.g., Rhino 3D);

Creative attitude and ability to explore shapes, textures and details in a three-dimensional environment;

Ability to interpret sketches, design specifications and technical notes, considering materials, colors, finishes and fits;

Experience collaborating with design, product development, industrialization, and production teams;

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, innovative and time-sensitive environment.
