JOB PURPOSE

Supporting the Head of Retail Logistics in the management of logistic aspects connected with the transport (by sea/land/air) of finished product (RTW /Leather Goods/Footwear) and technical materials/general supplies/packaging to retail/outlet/wholesale stores, in accordance with set timing and liaising with Finished Product Warehouses, the functions in charge and the Head of Retail Logistics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the delivery of finished product from central warehouse to retail/outlet/wholesale stores worldwide within the requested timing, liaising with Finished Product Warehouses, HQ Logistics, local Logistics and HQ Retail
• Interface with HQ Retail to agree upon/confirm the delivery timing of products based on the characteristics of single areas/stores, as well as market/commercial needs linked to special packages/events/new openings/restyling/etc
• Check operating and customs issues connected with import/export activities
• Analyze the various methods for shipping products/materials/goods, with particular focus on transport lead time and costs
• Check the correct enforcement of transportation fares
• Guarantee the correctness of documents supporting shipments
• Manage reports on delivery lead time and on the level of operating service provided by freight forwarders and customs brokers

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Degree in Management Engineering

2/5 years experience in logistics

Fluent English

Good knowledge of the office, stealth and sap package

Proactivity, curiosity and teamwork skills

Organizational, analytical skills, ability to summarize and to identify the correct priorities in his/her own field of responsibility/competence
